From a rain point of view Fay Lake is a relatively common place; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is generally the driest month. Camping is available at Florence County Park Campground, and going for a hike on the Lauterman Trail is always a great adventure. There's some flowing water nearby, Halsey Lake Outlet is a stream you can stop at       while here, and do go to Halsey Lake, it's a striking lake. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Brule River, and after a long day outdoors Americinn - Iron River, Mi is a great place to spend a night or two. Why not camp at Chipmunk Rapids Campground while you're here at Fay Lake; what would winter be without some skiing at Ski Brule. Fay Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a striking outdoors paradise. Go for a hike on the Dendro Eco Trail, and                  dry warm beds await you at Iron Inn Motel. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Pine River offers some tremendous whitewater; the slopes of Brule Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist. All through the months of summer at Fay Lake temperatures are commonly in the 70's while overnight lows are mostly in the 50's.
