Get yourself into a kayak and hit Wolf River. This lake is so wonderful. There are some great whitewater spots on Eau Claire River; a great close by hotel is Days Inn of Antigo. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Evangeline Lake with night lows in the 50's. Through the winter highs are typically in the 20's, and overnight lows through the winter for Evangeline Lake tend to be in the 0's. There's so much to do here       at Evangeline Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Piney woods Campgrounds is a glorious place for that; after a long day outdoors Antigo Super 8 Motel is a great site to spend a night or two. Evangeline Lake is a good site of common precipitation; most of the rain falls during September; the driest month is February.
