Very delightful water scenery is available at McFadyen Dam in the vicinity of Etna Lake, and Etna Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Big 6 RV Resort and Campground is a delightful local campground. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Gogebic Range is unbeatable! Nearby lakes? Sure, Beatrice Lake is in the vicinity of Etna Lake; Indianhead is a very popular ski area in the vicinity. Etna Lake       is a beautiful lake in the Gogebic Range. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Gogebic Range has to offer. While you're here at Etna Lake you can take a hike along the Rainbow Falls Trail, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Big Powderhorn Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Black River, and a great close by hotel is Comfort                  Inn Ironwood. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Etna Lake while nighttime lows are typically in the 50's. All through the winter highs are regularly in the 10's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Etna Lake drop into the-10's. You definitely have to go for Etna Lake. If you need a location to stay Americinn - Ironwood, Mi is a wonderful choice, and if you came to camp Henry Lake Campground is a magnificent place to do that. You could also stop at Dumbell Lake if you're here at Etna Lake; it's nearby; if you come at the right time of year, Planter Creek offers some great whitewater.
