The yearly precipitation here at Emerson Lake is about average; most of the rain falls all through August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The Virgin Pine Trail is a great hiking trail next to Emerson Lake, and camping is available at Lake Namakagon Campgrounds. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is pleasant here at Emerson Lake, you can go for a hike along the Rock Lake National Recreation       Trail, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Suites Hayward is a great place to spend a night or two. If you came for an overnight stay Boulder Lodge Resort is a splendid place to camp; do stop by Birch Lake, it's a pretty lake. On a good day at Emerson Lake you can take a hike along the North Country Trail; you'll locate a lovely lake called Rock Lake. Glide down the rapids of Chippewa River - West Fork in a kayak. And that's not all you can do here                  at Emerson Lake. Playing golf is lots of fun at Lakewoods Resort & Golf Forest Ridges Golf Course; if you come at the right time of year, Marengo River offers some good whitewater. At Emerson Lake through the summer highs are in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
