This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Trollhaugen, and Saint Croix National Scenic River is a pleasant national park. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Sunrise Ferry Hiking Trail is glorious fun. Ellofson Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; most of the rain falls throughout       June while February is ordinarily the driest month. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites ST. CROIX VALLEY is a great place to get some rest. Lakes? Sure, Little Mirror Lake is close by. If you need a site to stay Luck Country Inn is a good choice; obviously Butternut Creek is a stunning stream that is worth visiting. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do right next door to Ellofson Lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always                  stop by nearby Wallin Lake, and drift down the rapids of St. Croix River in a kayak. Birchwood Beach Campgrounds is a great local campground; wonderful skiing awaits you at Wild Mountain. For the duration of the summertime at Ellofson Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's.
