During your journey to Echo Lake you'll meet some people from Marinette for sure, and there's some flowing water close by, North Branch Pemebonwon River is a stream you can stop at while you're here. So much enjoyable stuff near Echo Lake, just mind-blowing. Get wet paddling on Menominee River; you can stay the night at Amberg Campgrounds and Bar. At Echo Lake during the summertime months highs are in the 80's, and the       overnight is slightly cooler of course, frequently in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Echo Lake are in the 0's. From a rain point of view Echo Lake is a pretty normal site; September is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. If you need a place to stay Americinn - Norway, Mi is a wonderful choice, and Green Acres Golf Course is a perfect golf course close by. A great close by                  hotel is Iron Mountain-Days Inn; Norway Mountain is a very popular ski area in the vicinity. This lake is so wonderful.
