After a long day outdoors Lodge at Crooked Lake is a wonderful site to spend a night or two; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Upper Tamarack River. Throughout the warm days of summer at Echo Lake highs are usually in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. All through the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the       10's while Echo Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the-10's. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a wonderful time here at Echo Lake. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail; while you're here, you could also stop at stunning Lone Star Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Best Western Northwoods Lodge is a good choice, and playing golf is lots of fun at Fox Run                  Golf Course. There are some perfect whitewater spots on Lower Tamarack River, and Hi-haven Resort is a wonderful campground nearby. Hiking along the Markville Snowmobile Trail is nice fun. Fremstadt Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore; if you came for an overnight stay Log Cabin Hollow Resort is a pleasant location to camp.
