There's whitewater on Pike River - North Branch for all you adrenaline kick people, and after a long day outdoors Mountain Host Motor Inn is a magnificent location to spend a night or two. You can run the rapids of Pike River - South Branch in close proximity to East Twin Lake, and the snow is good at Norway Mountain. East Twin Lake gets a typical amount of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is September       while February is regularly the driest month. High temperatures at East Twin Lake all through the summer are in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at East Twin Lake temperatures drop to the-10's. A fine place to camp here at East Twin Lake is Tranquil Vista Campgrounds, and do stop by Barnes Lake, it's                  a pretty lake. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at East Twin Lake. The cheerful people of Iron Mountain like to hang out close by, and why not camp at Amberg Campgrounds and Bar while you're here at East Twin Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
