This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Totogatic River offers some good whitewater, and after a long day outdoors Northern Pine Inn is a good place to spend a night or two. The warmest time of the year at Durphee Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's while overnight lows are commonly       in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at Durphee Lake are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Hayward Koa Kampground is a pleasant local campground.
