The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at Dumke Lake are in the-10's. Whitewater paddling is good on Duncan Creek, and Christie Mountain       is a great local ski area. Dry warm beds await you at Glen Loch Motel, and the Hickory Ridge Trail is a nice hiking trail nearby.
