There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Pike River - North Branch, and at Duck Lake you always meet someone from Iron Mountain. High temperatures at Duck Lake throughout the long summer days are in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally       in the 20's; overnight lows at Duck Lake during the wintertime mostly drop into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. A good spot to camp here at Duck Lake is Thornton's Whitewater Rafting Resort, and getting to Rosey Creek from Duck Lake is uncomplicated. A lake nearby is Annabelle Lake, and Duck Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Tranquil Vista Campgrounds is a great local campground. The amount of rain that falls at Duck Lake is close to                  the national average; September is the wettest month with most rain while February is regularly the driest month. Be careful coming to Duck Lake, you might not ever wanna go home again.
