If you want a fine time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Gogebic Range. After a long day outdoors Park Falls Super 8 Motel is a magnificent site to spend a night or two; float down the rapids of Tyler Forks in a kayak. Butternut Lake Campground is a perfect campground nearby, and paddling on Bad River is so much fun. What a site this is for outdoors folks. There's tremendous hiking       along the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail. An average amount of rain falls at Dollar Lake; the month with most of the rain is August, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is one of the great places here in the Gogebic Range. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Mount Whittlesey is easily observed from Dollar Lake; since you're here, you could also go to wonderful Snowshoe Lake. High temperatures at Dollar Lake during the summertime are in                  the 80's while night lows are typically in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Dollar Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
