If you're here at Dogtown Lake, you could visit Dogtown Creek, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Upper Tamarack River. An average amount of rain falls at Dogtown Lake; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. This place, Dogtown Lake, it simply has so much outdoors amusing stuff. A good close by       hotel is Best Western Northwoods Lodge. Stay the night at Rosenthal's Resort, and if you come at the right time of year, St. Croix River offers some wonderful whitewater. There's so much to do here at Dogtown Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Anchor Bay Camping and Cabins is a great spot for that, and if you need a location to stay Lodge at Crooked Lake is a delightful choice. At Dogtown Lake through the summer highs are in the 80's. During the                  dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are mostly in the 10's; nighttime lows during the winter for Dogtown Lake tend to be in the-10's.
