The yearly rain here at Dog Lake is about average; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. Jackson Springs is a brilliant local attraction, and camping at Dog Lake is great fun, Soo Lake Resort is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. A swamp like Deadman Slough near Dog Lake has lots of attention-grabbing things to see, and if you need       a place to stay Park Falls Super 8 Motel is a tremendous choice. Lakes are good; Bass Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Dog Lake; let's not forget Beaver Creek which is a stream that you may bump into during your stay. This spot is so good, just check out all the fun things to do near Dog Lake. Super 8 Motel - Phillips is a glorious place to get some rest. Flambeau River - South Fork has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby; Butternut Lake Campground                  is a nice campground here. During the summer months here at Dog Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's.
