Dog Island Lake gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; September is the wettest month with most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. During your tour to Dog Island Lake you'll meet some folks from Eau Claire for sure, and wonderful skiing awaits you at Christie Mountain. But wait, there's more to do close to Dog Island Lake. If you need a place to stay Glen Loch       Motel is a fine choice, and if you get bored of Dog Island Lake you could also visit nearby Bass Lakes. Summertime highs at Dog Island Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Dog Island Lake are in the-10's. Dog Island Lake is right by the Deer Fly Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Rock Lake Resort and Campground is a tremendous site to camp.                  Duncan Creek is a good whitewater spot close to Dog Island Lake, and hiking along the Hay Meadow Trail is splendid fun. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Hickory Ridge Trail, and Northshore Bar and Campground is a good campground here. After a long day outdoors Paradise Shores Resort Hotel is a great place to spend a night or two; you can run the rapids of Chippewa River.
