Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Pike River - South Branch, and if you need a spot to stay Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Iron Mountain, MI is a nice choice. Disney Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Americas Best Inns-Iron Mountain is a tremendous site to get some rest; you'll meet a lot of       folks from Iron Mountain here. Thornton's Whitewater Rafting Resort is a delightful campground nearby; there's some flowing water nearby, Phillips Creek is a stream you can pop by while here. Disney Lake is a good location of normal rainfall; all through the month of September you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. There's whitewater on Pike River - North Branch for all you adrenaline rush seekers; you can stay the                  night at Tranquil Vista Campgrounds.
