For the duration of the months of summer highs here at Devils Lake reach the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's; overnight lows all through the winter for Devils Lake tend to       be in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Christie Mountain has nice slopes and a friendly staff; after a long day outdoors Comfort Suites Hayward is a good spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Devils Lake; Hardwood Trail is a glorious local trail; if you need a location to stay Flat Creek Inn and Suites is a nice choice. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Good hiking is available                  along the Serley Camp Trail; get your heart pumping on the splendid whitewater of Chippewa River - West Fork. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Pike Lake, and Trail's End Resort is a pleasant campground nearby. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Tuscobia Park Falls State Trail; there's whitewater on Chippewa River for all you adrenaline rush seekers.
