Lodge at Crooked Lake is a magnificent site to get some rest; a pleasant place for whitewater paddling is St. Croix River. Going for a hike on the Markville Snowmobile Trail is always a brilliant adventure; a golf course close by is Voyager Village Country Club & Bar. This lake is so wonderful. Take a side tour to Nelson Creek, and after a long day outdoors Best Western American Heritage Inn is       a brilliant place to spend a night or two. At Des Moines Lake through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are frequently in the 10's, and night lows in the-10's for Des Moines Lake. Big Bear Lake is a great lake close to Des Moines Lake, and if you came to camp Rosenthal's Resort is a pleasant location to do that. That right there is a load already, but it goes                  on; Des Moines Lake has it all.
