Brandt Lake is a great lake right next door to Deer Lake; there's whitewater on Flambeau River - South Fork for all you adrenaline people. The skiing at Blackjack is splendid. Stay the night at Fishtrap Campground, and if you like skiing, you're in       luck; Big Powderhorn Mountain is relatively near. That right there is a heap already, but it goes on; Deer Lake has it all. An afternoon playing golf at Tahoe Lynx Golf Course is always a bliss; dry warm beds await you at Americinn - Ironwood, Mi. There is a tremendous hiking trail in the vicinity of Deer Lake called the Newman Springs Ski Trail, and Americinn Motel is a great spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Deer Lake is a glorious site                  to camp, Big 6 RV Resort and Campground is a glorious site, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Turtle River. For the period of the warm months at Deer Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's.
