Deer Lake gets a normal amount of precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February. For the duration of the days of summer at Deer Lake highs are regularly in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Deer Lake temperatures sink to the-10's.       This lake is so wonderful. Country House Motel is a magnificent location to get some rest, and get your pulse rate up on the pleasant whitewater of Upper Tamarack River. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Deer Lake; Markville Snowmobile Trail is a good local trail; you can run the rapids of St. Croix River. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff close to Deer Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Lodge At Crooked Lake. A wonderful spot to camp here at                  Deer Lake is Rosenthal's Resort, and golf can be played at Voyager Village Country Club & Bar.
