Deer Lake is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Lake Namakagon Campgrounds is a delightful place to camp nearby; there are nice places to explore along the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail. Summertime highs at Deer Lake generally tend to be in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are generally in the 10's, and night lows during the winter for Deer Lake tend to be in the-10's.

That right there is a lot already, but it continues; Deer
Lake has it all. In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Marengo River, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Lake Superior Lodge is a nice spot to spend a night or two.
