A lake       close by is Simpson Lake, and good hiking is available along the Virgin Pine Trail. Enjoy a round of golf at Northern Pines Golf Course not far from Deep Lake; Deep Lake is a splendid spot to visit for more than one day, Birch Grove Campground is a splendid spot to camp nearby. Deep Lake is not the only site nearby, Hostrawser Lake is a nearby lake, and you can go for a hike on the Pigeon Lake Trail. Having a splendid time at Deep Lake is painless.
