This lake is so wonderful. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Dead Slough Lake; July is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Dead Slough Lake. You can take a little spree to Henry Henricks Dam since you're here at Dead Slough Lake, and Hide-a-way Campground Lounge is       a nice local campground. A round of golf at nearby Mississippi National Golf Links is a fine way to kill some time, and close by you stumble on Colvill Bay. A lake close by is 4 Reservoir; if you need a place to stay Red Wing-Days Inn is a great choice. During the long summer days at Dead Slough Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's, and the nighttime is somewhat cooler of course, usually in the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally                  in the 20's while Dead Slough Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's. There are plenty of folks from Red Wing here at Dead Slough Lake, and St. James Hotel is a great place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Island Campground is a glorious campground nearby, and don't leave Dead Slough Lake without first checking out Sorins Bluff.
