The Gogebic Range is peerless! Super 8 Ashland is a delightful location to get some rest. The Gogebic Range       scenery is always beautiful. Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Gogebic Range. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Chippewa River - East Fork, and going for a hike on the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail is always a pleasant adventure. Getting to Dingdong Creek from Dead Horse Slough is simple; nearby you stumble on the Black Lake Trail which is a pleasant                  hiking trail. But wait, there's more to do near Dead Horse Slough. If you came for an overnight stay Black Lake Campground is a magnificent place to camp, and not far from Dead Horse Slough you'll find Cranberry Lake which is a picturesque lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are some good whitewater spots on Brunsweiler River; there is a delightful hiking trail close by called the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail. Through the warmest time of the year here at Dead Horse Slough, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's while nighttime lows are generally in the 50's.
