This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such serene places, why not visit Upper Clam Lake near Day Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Black Lake Trail. Throughout the summertime months at Day Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. During the winter highs are commonly in the 20's with temperatures at Day Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Stay the night at Chippewa       River Campground, and an out of the ordinary thing to stop by in close proximity to Day Lake is Day Dam. From a rainfall point of view Day Lake is a quite typical place; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Just can't get enough of the Gogebic Range. Day Lake is a great lake near Day Lake, and Day Lake is a fine location to visit for more than one day, Day Lake Campground is a fine location                  to camp nearby. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the area close to Day Lake has to offer. Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Brunsweiler River; going for a hike on the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail is always a glorious adventure. There's whitewater on Marengo River for all you thrill seekers; don't leave Day Lake without first going for a hike along the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail. And if that's not sufficient there's loads more amusing stuff to do in the Gogebic Range. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Ashland is a fine place to spend a night or two, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Lake Superior Lodge.
