Day Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This location, the Gogebic Range, has so much outdoors exciting things. There are some nice whitewater spots on Brunsweiler River, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Duck Lake. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Day Lake; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; overnight lows in the 0's for Day Lake.
A pleasant close by hotel is Ashland Super 8 Motel; an out of the ordinary thing to have a look at in close proximity to Day Lake is Day Dam. An average amount of rain falls at Day Lake; the wettest month of the year is generally
August, that's the one that rains the most while February is usually the driest month.
This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Marengo River, and the Black Lake Trail offers hiking at its best.
