Day Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Hiking along the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail is pleasant fun, and a good place to camp here at Day Lake is Chippewa River Campground. From a rainfall point of view Day Lake is a pretty common place; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. | | right time of year, Marengo River offers some great whitewater.
For the duration of the summertime months highs here at Day Lake get into the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Day Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Gogebic Range.
