Beautiful Day Lake has much to offer visitors. Very magnificent water scenery is available at Day Dam close to Day Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail. And if that's not enough there's lots more exciting stuff to do in the Gogebic Range. Why not camp at Day Lake Campground while you're here at Day Lake. Just can't get enough of the Gogebic Range. Lakes? Sure, Beaver Lake is close by, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western

This lake is one of the great places here in the Gogebic Range. The yearly precipitation here at Day Lake is about average; August is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest. At Day Lake through the summer months highs are in the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Going for a hike on the Black Lake Trail is always a splendid adventure, and Ashland Super 8 Motel is a good place to get some rest. All the outdoors entertaining stuff near Day Lake will keep you coming back repeatedly.
A perfect place for whitewater paddling near Day Lake is Brunsweiler River; if you came for an overnight stay Chippewa River Campground is a glorious location to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Near Day Lake you stumble on the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail, and you can run the rapids of Marengo River.
