Good hiking is available along the Eds Lake Trail System, and Raft 'n Rest Campgrounds is a great campground nearby. Man, is there a lot of entertaining stuff to do in close proximity to Dark Lake. A perfect close by hotel is Best Western Crandon Inn & Suites. Dark Lake gets       a common amount of yearly rain; during September this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. There are other spots here than Dark Lake, for example Our Lake, and you can run the rapids of Wolf River. At Dark Lake during the summer months highs are in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are commonly in the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Dark                  Lake.
