Through the long summer days highs here at Dark Lake reach the 80's while overnight lows are commonly in the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's; overnight lows throughout the wintertime for Dark Lake tend to be in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Near Dark Lake you locate the O'Neil Creek       Flowage Trail which is a good hiking trail; a pleasant site to camp here at Dark Lake is Loon Lake Camp Grounds. There are some great whitewater spots on Duncan Creek, and camping is available at Kamp Sugarrbush Bar and Campgrnd. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are glorious; Cather Lake is a lake that's close to Dark Lake. A day on the slopes of Christie Mountain is just what you need; you can go for a hike on the Deer Fly Trail. Dark Lake gets a normal amount                  of precipitation; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is February. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. If you need a place to stay Glen Loch Motel is a good choice, and you'll meet a lot of people from Eau Claire here.
