Sure, McDonald Lake is just a very short distance away. Looking for some flowing water? Try Sugar Camp Creek; a round of golf at nearby St Germain Golf Club is a wonderful way to kill some time. Dam Lake gets a normal amount of rain; through August this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. There's just no way somebody       can get bored here at Dam Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Wisconsin River. If you need a spot to stay Black Bear Lodge is a fine choice, and Dam Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Hunter Lake Paradise Campground is a great place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Rustic Manor Motor Lodge is a great place to spend a night or two, and if you've had enough                  of Dam Lake, Sand Lake is nearby. Throughout the months of summer, highs typically are in the 70's at Dam Lake, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's.
