There is a great hiking trail close to Dairyland Reservoir called the Moonridge Trail, and do schedule some time to check out Groothousen Bay if you have a chance. This lake is so wonderful. Thornapple River Campground is a glorious campground nearby. After a long day outdoors Americinn - Ladysmith, Wi is a glorious place to spend a night or two, and do visit Park Lake, it's a gorgeous lake. At Dairyland Reservoir all through the summer highs are in the 70's,

| | and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 10's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Dairyland Reservoir fall into the-10's. Dry warm beds await you at Americinn Lodge Ladysmith, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Christie Mountain. On a magnificent day at Dairyland Reservoir you can take a hike along the Tuscobia Park Falls State Trail, and West Cove Lanes is a great local campground. If | |

Tuscobia Park Falls State Trail
 | 15 miles away 1 PHOTO The trail is called the Tuscobia State Trail. It runs 74 miles from Rice Lake to Park Falls, Wisconsin. The Trail crosses through Barron, Sawyer and Price Counties. This is a multi-use trail on the old railroad grade of the Omaha Railroad. There are lots of things to do and places to stop along the trail. There is now camping available at several points along the trail including Radisson, and Ojibwa. At Winter, the last remaining railroad depot, built in 1905, will be historically restored outside and inside, it will house a visitor center, there will be trailhead parking, historical displays, and picnic areas.
