At Cub Lake all through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Cub Lake are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Little Bear Lake is a great lake in close proximity to Cub Lake, and after a       long day outdoors Americinn - Ironwood, Mi is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two. Hiking along the Newman Springs Ski Trail is good fun, and perfect skiing awaits you at Indianhead. Man, is there a lot of fun stuff to do right next door to Cub Lake. A perfect place for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Cub Lake is Turtle River; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Big Powderhorn Mountain. Camping is available at Wabasso                  Lake Campground. Lakes? Sure, Brandt Lake is around here. Cub Lake is a good place of normal rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful.
