The beauty of Crystal Lake is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Wisconsin River is a brilliant whitewater spot right next door to Crystal Lake; the skiing at Cascade Mountain is pleasant. certainly you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Lantz Pond is just a very short distance away. On a tremendous day at Crystal Lake you can take a hike along the Grottos Trail, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Devils Head is
relatively near.
Ice Age National Scenic Trail is a good place near Crystal Lake. After a long day outdoors Cedarberry Inn is a wonderful location to spend a night or two; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked,
you can always go whitewater paddling on Baraboo River. This lake is so wonderful. The East Bluff Woods Trail is a nice hiking trail in close proximity to Crystal Lake, and there are plenty of folks from Madison here at Crystal Lake.
Through the summer at Crystal Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Highs through the winter are generally in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Crystal Lake.
