Our mission is to provide an excellent Christian camping experience in which campers may come to know Christ as Savior and grow in Him through God’s Word and a godly staff. We strive to provide a loving Camp that is Christ-centered, Action-packed with Activities, filled with Meaningful Moments in a Pleasant and Peaceful setting. Operations Camp Fairwood is a year-round ministry with eight weeks of summer camp for youth and families and about 32 retreats throughout the year. There are two full-time employees of the Camp, the director and maintenance manager. During the summer we hire about 30 staff to run our program. Facilities There are 27 buildings on the camp grounds. Nine cabins are used year-round and sleep about 10 people each. Nine additional cabins are available for summer use and sleep 10 people each. Our most functional and widely used building is our dining hall which can seat 175 people. Our chapel is uniquely located in the loft of a barn and can also seat 175 people. ... |

In the past few years Nordic Mountain has more than doubled its snowmaking capacity. The goal is to open earlier, close later, and remain open on marginal winter days. One of the biggest projects to improve snowmaking at Nordic Mountain will serve a dual purpose. The addition of a 10 million gallon snowmaking pond will not only supply more cold water for snowmaking, but in the summer of 2009 is scheduled to be made into the second wakeboard winch park in the country. Nordic Mountain has always been considered a great place to learn. It is known as a great family hill at a very affordable price. That tradition continues while changes like improved terrain parks and new glade trails help to keep the skiers and snowboarders coming back.
