Lakes are such peaceful places, why not explore Bell Lake close to Crooked Lake, and do take a hike on the North Country Trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Bois Brule River; hiking is a popular thing to do around Crooked Lake; Pigeon Lake Trail is a delightful local trail. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Crooked       Lake; September is the wettest month with most rain while February is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Virgin Pine Trail, and a tremendous location to camp here at Crooked Lake is Wildwood Campground. Rustic Roost Motel Dining is a great site to get some rest, and camping is available at Birch Grove Campground. All the outdoors exciting stuff in the vicinity of Crooked Lake will keep you coming                  back repeatedly. A round of golf at nearby Northern Pines Golf Course is a wonderful way to kill some time, and dry warm beds await you at Hummingbird Haven. For the period of the months of summer at Crooked Lake highs are regularly in the 70's, and the nighttime is somewhat chillier of course, usually in the 50's.
