The amount of rain that falls at Crane Lake is close to the national average; September is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is February. After a long day outdoors Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Iron Mountain, MI is a wonderful place to spend a night or two, and there's whitewater on Rat River for all you adrenaline kick people. Crane Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Burnt Bridge       Campground is a great local campground, and Best Western Lakewood Lodge is a nice place to get some rest. Near Crane Lake you locate the Dendro Eco Trail which is a fine hiking trail, and get your heart beating on the delightful whitewater of Peshtigo River. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Crane Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mountain Jeds Campgrounds is a glorious location for that; since you might be in a lake visiting                  mood you can always check out close by Berry Lake. Just can't get enough of Crane Lake. Newman Creek is next to Crane Lake and is always a joy to have a look at. All through the long summer days at Crane Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 50's.
