Cranberry Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Perch Lake Campground is a great local campground; going for a hike along the Virgin Pine Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. If you don’t have a problem getting       soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Marengo River, and Kern Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. This lake is so wonderful. On a perfect day at Cranberry Lake you can take a hike along the North Country Trail; if you came to camp Crosswoods is a fine place to do that. Summertime highs at Cranberry Lake frequently tend to be in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.
