Summer brings highs in the 80's to Cranberry Lake, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 20's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Cranberry Lake temperatures descend to the 0's. An average amount of precipitation falls at Cranberry Lake; August is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is located       in the wonderful Gogebic Range. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Cranberry Lake. In the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Brunsweiler River; there's great hiking along the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There are other locations here than Cranberry Lake, for example Little Clam Lake; you can stay the night at Black Lake Campground. Whitewater paddling is glorious                  on Marengo River; Cranberry Lake is a glorious site to visit for more than one day, Day Lake Campground is a glorious site to camp nearby. Lakes are such serene sites, why not go to Woodtick Lake in close proximity to Cranberry Lake, and don't leave Cranberry Lake without first going for a hike along the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the Gogebic Range. If you need a place to stay Ashland Super 8 Motel is a pleasant choice; great hiking is available along the Black Lake Trail.
