This lake is one of the great places here in the Gogebic Range. A typical amount of rain falls here at Courtland Lake; the wettest month of the year is commonly June, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is February. So much enjoyable stuff to do here in the Gogebic Range, too tremendous to be true. Lac de Beaumont is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and get yourself into a kayak and       hit Turtle River. Dry warm beds await you at Americinn Motel, and there are some good whitewater spots on Black River. This place is peerless, just check out all the entertaining stuff to do near Courtland Lake. Head up to Blackjack and strap some skis to your feet, and Courtland Lake is right by the Newman Springs Ski Trail. If you need a place to stay Americinn - Ironwood, Mi is a brilliant choice, and Big 6 RV Resort and Campground is a tremendous campground                  here. All year is a magnificent time in the Gogebic Range if you have a thing about the outdoors. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Big Powderhorn Mountain. At Courtland Lake through the summertime months highs are in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Courtland Lake are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful.
