Elton Creek is a wonderful local stream; get yourself into a kayak and hit Wolf River. This lake is       so wonderful. Super 8 Shawano is a great place to get some rest, and if you've had enough of Cott Lake, LaVerne Lake is close by. So much cool stuff right next door to Cott Lake, definitely mind-boggling. Why not camp at Raft 'n Rest Campgrounds while you're here at Cott Lake; get soaked paddling on Wolf River - West Branch. Summertime highs at Cott Lake regularly tend to be in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the                  10's; through the dark hours in the winter at Cott Lake temperatures dip to the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Jesse's wolf River Lodge is a glorious place to camp, and on a delightful day you can take a hike along the Eds Lake Trail System.
