Paddling on Duncan Creek is so much fun, and a day on the slopes of Christie Mountain is just what you need. Good hiking is available along the O'Neil Creek Flowage Trail, and folks from Eau Claire love to come here. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Hay Meadow Trail, and if you get bored of Cornell Lake you could also have a look at nearby Boot Lake. Life's too short to enjoy       all the amusing stuff near Cornell Lake. If you need a place to stay Glen Loch Motel is a wonderful choice, and you can stay the night at O'Neil Creek Campground. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Chippewa River, and going for a hike on the Hickory Ridge Trail is always a brilliant adventure. Dry warm beds await you at Paradise Shores Resort Hotel, and Rock Lake Resort and Campground is a great campground here. This lake is so wonderful. The warmest time of the year at Cornell Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's.
