Summertime highs at Cornell Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Cornell Lake temperatures drop to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the O'Neil Creek Flowage       Trail; while you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Eau Claire. Go for a hike on the Hay Meadow Trail; O'Neil Creek Campground is a wonderful local campground. Now, you may imagine that's loads but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Cornell Lake. Going for a hike on the Hickory Ridge Trail is always a nice adventure; what would winter be without some skiing at Christie Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Do check out Hartnan                  Lake in the vicinity of Cornell Lake, it's a beautiful lake.
