Coon Lake is a nice lake to visit. If you came for an overnight stay Birchwood Beach Campgrounds is a magnificent place to camp; if you're a golfer then a great close by course is Frederic Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Apple River. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! Coon Lake rocks! Pine Grove Resort is a brilliant campground here. Lakes are wonderful;

| | Aspen Lake is a lake that's near Coon Lake.
For the period of the warm months at Coon Lake highs are regularly in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Coon Lake. This lake is so wonderful. always a perfect adventure. What would winter be without some skiing at Trollhaugen; Saint Croix National Scenic River is a very delightful site to have a look at.
A tremendous place for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of
Coon Lake is St. Croix River; after a long day outdoors Best Western Northwoods Lodge is a splendid place to spend a night or two. Coon Lake is a good location of normal rain; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most
rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. A good close by hotel is Luck Country Inn, and not far from Coon Lake you get some pleasant water scenery at Bohn Dam.
