This lake is so wonderful. Near Coon Lake you come across a golf course called Frederic Golf Course, and if you need a spot to stay Luck Country Inn is a splendid choice. Coon Lake is a good site of normal precipitation; through June this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Summertime       brings highs in the 80's to Coon Lake with night lows in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 10's, and overnight lows throughout the wintertime for Coon Lake tend to be in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Trollhaugen and strap some skis to your feet; Birchwood Beach Campgrounds is a delightful campground nearby. There's always Bohn Dam to have a look at in close proximity to Coon Lake; close by you come across the Minnesota-Wisconsin                  Boundary State Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. So much entertaining stuff to do at Coon Lake, so little time. Saint Croix National Scenic River is one of the destinations close to Coon Lake that are glorious to go to, and Best Western Northwoods Lodge is a great place to get some rest. The snow is tremendous at Wild Mountain, and Coon Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Pine Grove Resort is a good place to camp nearby.
