Just can't get enough of Coon Lake. A good place for whitewater paddling close to Coon Lake is Wisconsin River, and the Bearskin State Park Trail is a delightful hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Quality Inn Rhinelander is a pleasant place to get some rest; you'll meet a lot of people from Merrill here. Throughout       the warmest time of the year at Coon Lake temperatures are frequently in the 70's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 50's. All through the winter the highs are regularly in the 10's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Coon Lake temperatures dip to the-10's. From a precipitation point of view Coon Lake is a reasonably typical place; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here; the driest of the months is February.
