The beauty of Cooley Lake is reason enough to stop by. If you want to hit the beach, Half Moon Beach is around here, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Mill Run Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Summertime highs at Cooley Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's, and the night is a tad colder of course, typically in the 50's. Highs all through the winter are commonly in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Cooley Lake.

| | Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Duncan Creek, and Chippewa River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Fanny Hill is a great site to spend a night or two; a lake close by is Powell Lake. A magnificent location to camp here at Cooley Lake is Elmer's Campgrounds, and some of the water nearby flows, like Taylor Creek.
