A round of golf at nearby Rhinelander Country club Professional is a great way to kill some time, and camping is available at Northforest Campgrounds. There are plenty of folks from Merrill here at Cook Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Wisconsin River. All through the summertime months here at Cook Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 70's.

not camp at West Bay Camping Resort while you're here at Cook Lake. Getting to Crescent Creek from Cook Lake is simple. Cook Lake is a good place of typical precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.

Granite Peak
 | 29 miles away 5 PHOTOS This is a 4-5 hour drive from the n/w side of Chicago . . . and *definately* worth it. Some buddies and I go up for a few days every winter and I have to say, this is the best you're going to find without doubling your driving time or hopping on an airplane.... i have lived and snowboarded in Colorado and Austria. For the Midwest only Lutsen in Minn. can be compared! The vertical keeps you challenged unlike the resorts in the U.P. and the rest of the Midwest! Only 3 hrs from Milwaukee!!! love it if you are in the Midwest and can't head WEST!!!... |
