There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Cole Lake. There's whitewater on Pike River - South Branch for all you thrill seekers; this is a popular site for folks from Iron Mountain. Rosey Creek is a tremendous site to stop at, and dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Inns-Iron       Mountain. Cole Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Tranquil Vista Campgrounds is a good place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Pike River - North Branch, and Dolan Lake is a brilliant lake close by. During the summer months at Cole Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with                  highs in the 20's, and overnight lows in the-10's for Cole Lake. The amount of rainfall that falls at Cole Lake is close to the national average; during the month of September you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February.
