Beautiful Clam Lake has much to offer visitors. A fine spot for whitewater paddling close to Clam Lake is Upper Tamarack River, and don't leave Clam Lake without first going for a hike along the Markville Snowmobile Trail. A good nearby hotel is Best Western Northwoods Lodge. There's so much to do here at Clam Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Winberg's Resort and Campground is a brilliant site for that. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Clam Lake are in the-10's. There's pleasant hiking along the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail.
