Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Northwoods Lodge, and Clam Lake is not the only place nearby, Put Lake is a nearby lake. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Clam Lake; of all the months in a year August is the       one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If you came to camp Winberg's Resort and Campground is a splendid place to do that, and there are some delightful whitewater spots on Upper Tamarack River. If the weather is good here at Clam Lake, you can go for a hike along the Markville Snowmobile Trail; after a long day outdoors Lodge                  at Crooked Lake is a glorious spot to spend a night or two. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Sleighbell Slough is right nearby, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail. Summertime highs at Clam Lake usually tend to be in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's.
