Chippewa River Campground is a great campground nearby, and going for a hike on the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail is always a pleasant adventure. But wait, there's more fun things to do in the Gogebic Range. You can run the rapids of Marengo River in close proximity to Christy Lake, and close by you locate the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail which is a nice hiking trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Gogebic Range. Red Ike       Creek Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out, and Christy Lake is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Boulder Lodge Resort is a wonderful place to camp nearby. Christy Lake gets a normal amount of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. The Gogebic Range scenery is always beautiful. A quick visit to Christy Creek right                  next door to Christy Lake is a fine idea, and a lake nearby is Bentley Lake. Noble Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and a good nearby hotel is Best Western Lake Superior Lodge. That right there is heaps already, but it goes on; Christy Lake has it all. Chippewa River - East Fork is a brilliant whitewater spot close to Christy Lake, and the Black Lake Trail is a nice hiking trail close by. During the warm months at Christy Lake temperatures are usually in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's.
