Be careful coming to the Gogebic Range, you might not ever want to return back home again. Chippewa River Campground is a wonderful local campground. You feel that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Why not camp at Day Lake Campground while you're here at Chippewa Lake; a magnificent forest close by is Chequamegon National Forest. Chippewa Lake is located in the Gogebic Range. A typical amount of rain falls here       at Chippewa Lake; the month with most of the rain is September, and February is the month with the least moisture. If the weather is magnificent here at Chippewa Lake, you can go for a hike along the Black Lake Trail, and do go to Lake Five, it's a beautiful lake. The Rock Lake National Recreation Trail is a nice hiking trail near Chippewa Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Marengo River. Through the                  months of summer at Chippewa Lake temperatures are frequently in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Chippewa Lake are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. A pretty lake like Dells Lake close to Chippewa Lake is a fine site to go to, and Best Western Holiday House is a fine spot to get some rest. Yeah, come up here to the Gogebic Range for a great time.
