From a rain point of view Chippewa Lake is a quite common location; the month with most of the rain is September, and the driest month is February. Go for a hike on the Black Lake Trail, and a great location for whitewater paddling is Marengo River. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Gogebic Range. For the duration of the days of summer at Chippewa       Lake temperatures are typically in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Chippewa Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Gogebic Range. Having a great time at Chippewa Lake is easy. Don't leave Chippewa Lake without first going for a hike along the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail, and North Haven Country                  Cottage is a brilliant site to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Chippewa Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Chippewa River Campground is a tremendous place for that; if you need a site to stay Junek's Bay Cabins is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Chequamegon National Forest is a good local forest. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Chippewa Lake has to offer, you can camp at Day Lake Campground. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Gogebic Range.
