The beauty of Chick Lake is reason enough to stop by. Chick Lake is a good site of typical rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is February. Atwood Lake is a splendid lake close to Chick Lake; you're sure to stumble upon some fine people from Eau Claire here. This lake is so wonderful. The Hickory Ridge Trail is a great hiking trail close to Chick Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Chetek.

| | During the summertime months here at Chick Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Chick Lake drop into the-10's. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Chick Lake. The skiing at Christie Mountain is good, and camping is available | |

at Kamp Sugarrbush Bar and Campgrnd. If the weather is glorious here at Chick Lake, you can go for a hike along the O'Neil Creek Flowage Trail, and Chippewa River has a good whitewater paddling spot close by.
In case you don’t
mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Duncan Creek, and why not camp at Loon Lake Camp Grounds while you're here at Chick Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Near Chick Lake you come across the Deer Fly Trail
which is a delightful hiking trail, and if you need a place to stay Paradise Shores Resort Hotel is a wonderful choice.
