From a rainfall point of view Chick Lake is a relatively typical location; the month with most of the rain is August while February is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Deer Fly Trail is always a good adventure; if you get bored of Chick Lake you could also go to close by Calkins North Lake. A lake nearby is Logger Lake;       why not take a little journey to Cedar Creek since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is great on Chippewa River. There's so much to do here at Chick Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Rock Lake Resort and Campground is a splendid location for that. Near Chick Lake you hit upon the Hickory Ridge Trail which is a good hiking trail, and fine skiing awaits you at Christie Mountain. If you came to camp Kamp Sugarrbush Bar and                  Campgrnd is a fine place to do that. Through the long summer days at Chick Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's; nighttime lows in the-10's for Chick Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. There is a fine hiking trail close to Chick Lake called the O'Neil Creek Flowage Trail; Americinn - Chippewa Falls, Wi is a perfect place to get some rest.
